Nirvana Naves Requires Her Elegance Tips in The Greatest

Dutch-Guyanese model Nirvana Naves is a daughter away from home. In just two seasons, she’s amassed an impressive track record modeling for Lanvin, Chloé, Sacai, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Prada — and, of course, for Jonathan Anderson, the designer who cast her in her advent, at both his eponymous label and at Loewe. She walked all four major fashion weeks during the Fall 2016 season, crossing back and forth between Ny, Paris, Milan, and London. Throughout the off season , though, she ’s a full-time student in her home town of Amsterdam, where she takes courses two times a week and spends the rest of the time split between writing her thesis and shooting efforts, and modeling appearances. Yet prior to her start in the market, Naves confessed that she was something of a neophyte I did’t know anything about trend. I was like, ‘Oh, what is this all?’” she said of her first show opening for J.W. Anderson. “I did’t realize that it was such a good designer.” She’s developed a more nuanced perception of fashion as she’s educated a better comprehension and appreciation for the ins and outs of the biz. Her beauty routine, though, sticks to what she understands — and that features icons like Maya Angelou and Audrey Hepburn.
